i thought i should do a formal post about erika and knoel's wedding since it was so beautiful.

abbie and i arrived in viroqua on friday and met up with a very calm bride. we ran some last minute errands with her and then got ready for the rehearsal.

arrived at the cutest church ever (where erika was also baptized).

knoel listened while pastor paul explained what would be happening the next day. erika goofed around, like usual.

after the rehearsal, we headed to the firehouse for dinner and an entertaining night of karaoke. kyle treated us all to his versions of "baby one more time" by britney spears and "i like big butts." i don't think viroqua was ready for that.

we celebrated birthday's for my mom and lisa marie, who share a bday. some of us (most of us) had too much to drink and we headed back to the super 8 for a good night's rest before the big day.

woke up early on saturday to gorgeous weather.

brought the bride breakfast in bed, super 8 motel style.

the day was spent doing hair, makeup, nails and avoiding eye contact with each other so we wouldn't start crying too early in the day.

arrived at the church about an hour and a half before the ceremony was to start. the flowers were beautiful, pastor paul was nervous about his first wedding, the musicians were warmed up and the guests started to arrive. finally got our dresses on and we were off.

the ceremony was perfect. i cried like a baby. (who am i kidding, i have been crying for the past year. i cried when she called to tell me they got engaged, cried when she asked me to be in the wedding, cried at the shower, cried while i was buying a wedding card, cried while i was packing my suitcase for viroqua, you get the point). jessica sang (cried during that). andy did two readings and also sang. it was intimate, emotional and overall, perfect.

took lots of pictures after the ceremony and played in a cornfield.

got to the firehouse for the reception. cried during the best man and maid of honor speeches, which were both great. caught up with family, posed for pictures, didn't catch the bouquet and danced the night away.

woke up sunday not very long before check-out time. went to the kickapoo inn for bloody mary's and cheese curds. not just any cheese curds, the best cheese curds i have ever had in my life! then headed to aunt kay's (not really my aunt, but i have become quite fond of the peterson family) for the gift opening. it was another beautiful day outside and we enjoyed the great weather and great company.

decided a few hours later that it was time to head home. sadly, said goodbye to everyone (i probably cried). i didn't want to leave. the area is so gorgeous and we had such a great time with the family all weekend. abbie and i stopped at a few farmer's markets on the way home and got lost in a cornfield.we also stopped here, only because of the name.

i don't think the weekend could have gone any better. everything was perfect. i'm so happy and excited for erika and knoel. i can't think of two people that deserve happiness anymore than them. (i would say more but i'll just start crying again).
